  • In my current role at Bon Appétit, I lead the creation of diverse marketing collateral, including print and digital ads, posters, and social media content. As a devoted advocate for culture, I manage internal and external PR initiatives, overseeing newsletters, industry publications, and social media channels. My responsibilities also include ensuring organizational compliance with environmental goals, designing menus and signage, and addressing area treatment issues. I conduct regular focus groups to gather insights from key market segments.

    I assist management teams in goal-setting, responding to consumer feedback, and implementing policies to enhance environmental impact. Crafting monthly, quarterly, and annual advertising and promotions plans, I collaborate with managers to execute promotions and special events calendars for retail operations. Additionally, I provide crucial support to senior leadership in creating impactful business reviews, presentations, and proposals.

    My role involves fostering collaboration and partnerships for a comprehensive marketing program while contributing to transparent and decentralized communication within the organization. I actively participate in merchandising efforts for each dining location and play a key role in building and implementing plans aligned with Bon Appétit's innovation strategies.

  • During my time in this role, I orchestrated the successful inaugural on-campus fundraising Gala, securing an impressive $2.7M in donations. I was responsible for overseeing account management, ensuring strict adherence to approved budget parameters, and consistently delivering client satisfaction. I proactively cultivated positive relationships with employees, guests, and various departments, while also focusing on promoting team professional development and maintaining robust interdepartmental relations.

    Additionally, I managed compliance with company policies, local/state/federal regulations, and stringent quality standards. My role required a keen demonstration of financial acumen through analyzing trends, maintaining budgets, and overseeing purchasing processes.   • In my role at The Huntington, I developed and oversaw Public Culinary Programs, effectively managing celebrity chef partnerships, enhancing dining visibility, establishing retail identities, and boosting brand awareness through strategic outreach efforts. Notably, I achieved a remarkable 12% increase in event bottom-line profit through various initiatives.

    I played a key role in managing the online presence across five units, handling social platforms, celebrity-chef collaborations, influencer partnerships, giveaways, and overseeing ticketing site development. Demonstrating a proven track record, I creatively connected operations while upholding company brand standards.

    Additionally, I introduced revenue-generating pop-ups/programs and successfully managed social media development. I took charge of planning and executing public events, effectively driving ticket sales and enhancing brand visibility. I successfully managed a spectrum of events, from exclusive presidential dinners to hosting gatherings exceeding 1,000 guests. Acting as a liaison, I collaborated with chefs, clients, vendors, and catering staff to personalize events within budget constraints. I also oversaw weekly catering billing and worked closely with the general manager on fiscal year budget management.

    Additionally, I provided support to local units in handling large-scale events and played a crucial role in implementing the CaterTrax online ordering program. Through client workshops and individual counseling, I enhanced order proficiency, resulting in increased efficiency. Furthermore, I actively co-led the Bon Appétit Great Expectation Certification, contributing to the overall success of the program.

I’m Beck!


My love for events and marketing started in 2010 when I began my very first job with Bon Appetit Management Co. as a catering attendant. Throughout my ten years with the company I have mastered events from all sides and have become an expert on the planning, execution, and follow-up required to produce events.

Starting with the company at a young age, I had the opportunity to explore various departments and learn from company leaders which lead me to try out marketing. In 2016, I decided to emerse myself in the marketing-side of hospitality. I was hired on as a Marketing and Sustainability Coordinator at The Huntington Library. During my two year tenure at The Huntington, I honed my skills in all aspects of marketing and communications and was simultaneously producing some of the most creative and public-facing events in my career. Collaborating with many local restaurant partners and developing and producing events of all shapes and sizes across California, I fostered my inner creativity and grew my skills as an events’ professional.

Two years later in 2018, I took on a role as Regional Marketing Manager for the Northern California region, working alongside 12 accounts overseeing universities, specialty venues, and corporate accounts. Refining my skills in graphic design, printed and digital signage, customized promotions and initiatives, and content creation, my small curiosity for marketing had developed into a true passion!

Throughout my time in marketing, I always found myself pulled back into the ‘event world’ producing events across California, including luncheons, large gala dinners, live performances, multi-day sales meetings, award ceremonies, and cocktail receptions. My deep understanding of both event culture and marketing, along with my desire to explore innovative and creative ideas gives me a robust experience to pull from.
